Booking Through Thursday: Catch-up!

So, I haven't done this in a few weeks, so I'm going to catch up on the recent ones that I haven't done. :]

From December 18th:

Do you give books as gifts?

I try to when I can. I didn't get a job until recently (I tutor one day a week) so when I had the extra money to go and buy books for gifts, I would. This year, I didn't have time to get any gifts at ALL so. . . no books this year. :[

To everyone? Or only to select people?

When I got books, they would usually be just for close family members - mom, dad, brother, grandparents. I remember we used to get my dad the Farmer's Almanac every year. :p I usually just make my friends jewelry.

How do you feel about receiving books as gifts?

I love getting books for Christmas. :] I feel like I can never have too many books - even if I'm running out of room on my bookshelf. :D

From December 11th:

1. Do you get to read as much as you WANT to read?

Not at all.

2. If you had (magically) more time to read–what would you read? Something educational? Classic? Comfort Reading? Escapism? Magazines?

I would read more of everything. . . there's a list of classics that my history teacher gave me and I would love to read all one hundred of those. And besides that, just more young adult. All kinds that I enjoy reading now.

From December 4th:

1. Do you have a favorite author?

I don't have just one favorite author. I can't narrow it down to just one. My favorites are Sarah Dessen and Meg Cabot, though there are about a million authors whose books I love to read. :]

2. Have you read everything he or she has written?

Sarah Dessen: I've read all of her books.
Meg Cabot: The only Meg Cabot books I haven't read are the historical fiction ones. Other than that, I've read all the others.

3. Did you LIKE everything?

I enjoyed all of Meg's books. I loved all of Sarah's books, too, but I think I would have to say that I enjoyed That Summer considerably less than all the others.

4. An author you wanted to like, but didn’t?

Melissa Marr. Everyone always said that her books were like amazingfabulousbrillant, but I tried to read them and I just didn't like them at all.

So, that's it for today. I have books here to review, but I just need to write them. :] I'm also planning on reading a lot over break to try and make my TBR pile at least a little smaller. :p

hope.
