Review: Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging - Louise Rennison

Summary:

Angus:
My mixed-breed cat, half domestic tabby, half Scottish wildcat. The size of a small Labrador, only mad.

Thongs:
Stupid underwear. What's the point of them, anyway? They just go up your bum, as far as I can tell.

Full-Frontal Snogging:
Kissing with all the trimmings, lip to lip, open mouth, tongues ... everything.

Her dad's got the mentality of a Teletubby (only not so developed). Her cat, Angus, is trying to eat the poodle next door. And her best friend thinks she looks like an alien -- just because she accidentally shaved off her eyebrows. Ergghhhlack. Still, add a little boy-stalking, teacher-baiting, and full-frontal snogging with a Sex God, and Georgia's year just might turn out to be the most fabbitty fab fab ever!

Review:

Uhm, WHY have I not read this book sooner?! I LOVED Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging! Georgia was such an original - and hilarious - character. Though her situations sometimes seem like they couldn't happen in real life, Georgia somehow makes it though them... these parts didn't annoy me because Georgia made them seem like they were everyday occurences in her life.

I don't really have anything really bad to say about this book... I really did love it. If I had to say one thing, I guess I would comment on how the writing isn't that "hard." It's an easy read. However, it's supposed to be that way - it's written in diary style.

Louise Rennison reminds me of Meg Cabot, who is one of my favorite authors. I definitely can't wait to read the next book in this series.

hope.

I received this book from the library.

I'm reading this book right now (got it from the library) and I'm ejoying it so far. If the rest of the book continues being as funny as what I've read, I'm going to buy it and the next in the series.
