Review:

Plot:

The plot of this book was very original. It was a good idea, I just wished it was executed in maybe a little better of a fashion. It seemed like the same events were happening over and over again towards the end of the story, that got kind of old. Also, it seemed like Mary kept flip-flopping her romantic choices. One second, she would like the one guy, and what seemed like the next, she liked the other. That got quite annoying after the first few times it happened.

Characters:

Mary was a very well defined character. However, Travis and his brother kind of mingled together, in my opinion. They seemed really similar, and I would've liked to see some more differences between the two.

Wow Factor:

I had heard some very mixed things about this book, but overall, the originality of this story is what made it a wonderful book. Yes, it was kind of repetitive. Yes, some of the characters could've been defined better. But, overall, it was still a good story, and I'm going to check out the companion novel that goes along with this one, The Dead-Tossed Waves.
