Review:

Wow!  Claudia Gray really impressed me with this book!  I loved Evernight, but when I read Stargazer I was very disappointed.  It was slow and very predictable.  I wasn't sure I was going to read Hourglass, but now that I'm finished I'm so glad I did.

With Hourglass, Gray has become more original.  Yes, it was still semi-predictable.  However, there were many things that happened that even I didn't see coming.  I was very surprised at a few twists that happened, especially towards the end, that I didn't see coming at all.

Gray does a great job getting the emotion across through the book.  There were parts where I was laughing, other parts where I was going "what was she THINKING?" and yet other parts where I was literally crying.  I was reading this one at school, and I almost started bawling my eyes out because the one part was really sad.

I was entertained throughout the whole book.  When reading Stargazer, it took me half of the book to get "into" the story.  However, this wasn't the case with Hourglass.  I was hooked from page one until the last page.  I didn't want to stop reading, and I had this need to know what was going to happen next.

Overall, Hourglass was an amazing novel and I look forward to seeing where the next book takes Bianca's story.  Even if you thought Stargazer was horrible (which I did), you'll most likely still enjoy Hourglass.

hope.
