Glass Houses - Rachel Caine

Summary:

Welcome to Morganville, Texas.
Just don't stay out after dark.

College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation, where the popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks in the school's social scene: somewhere less than zero.

When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life. But they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

Review:

I really liked the take of vampires in this book. It was a lot different than many of the other vampire books that I've read. For example, all the people in Morganville, Texas know that vampires exist. Yeah, the whole town. Some are even Protected from ever being killed by the vampires. The take is very interesting.

I thought that the writing in this book was just average. It was a very thrilling and entertaining book, don't get me wrong, but I thought certain things could've been played on to make the novel more interesting that weren't.

Overall, this book was pretty good. I loved the take vampire and human relationships. When I was finished reading, I immediately put the second book in the series on hold because there was a major cliffhanger ending!

Four hearts, or a B.

hope.

I'm not really into vampire but this one sounds kinda interesting. Less scary cover too.
