Sunday Salon: August 17th?

So, yeah, I don't know the date and I'm too lazy to look at my calendar and figure it out. And it's still 11:28 on Saturday here in Michigan but I'm always too lazy to write this after church, hence the lack of Sunday Salon in the past few weeks.

My reading week was okay. I was on vacation for the whole week, but only read two books. Last time I was on vacation (back in March. Or April. One of them, haha) I read about ten. That was over Easter Break, and it was also extremely COLD. But this time it was warm and sunny so I always wanted to sit outside and tan so I looked nice and tan instead of extremely pale for when school goes back in two weeks. :]

Speaking of that - TWO WEEKS! Where did my summer go? It seems like yesterday I was walking out of my Spanish classroom, having finished the final exam (which was a presentation) and walking out into the sunlight and onto the bus... I came home then went out to dinner with my friend and then went to her house and swam... *sigh* I swear it was yesterday. But I can't deny that school is going back in two weeks as I go shopping for school supplies. Or see the backpack I have filled with notebooks and locker stuff.

But, anywho, back on books. The two books I read on vacation were Evernight by Claudia Gray and Diary of a Chav by Grace Dent. I loved Evernight - I've been wanting to read more vampire books lately, and that one was a good one. I didn't really enjoy Diary of a Chav, however. I'll be posting a review later in the week to explain why I didn't. It just didn't appeal to me.

hope.
