The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
This book summed up in one word: amazing.
Macy's summer has just begun when her boyfriend, Jason, left for Brain Camp. She takes his job at the info desk at the library. She's the perfect daughter at home, where it's just her and her mom. She studies and looks at her vocabulary words for the SAT. She's a mother's dream.
Then, one night her mother is having a cocktail party to spread the word about her new townhouses that were opening. This is the night she meets the Wish Catering Crew. The Wish crew is not perfect - far from it, actually.
Then, Jason e-mails Macy and tells her that he wants a "break" from their relationship for the summer, until he gets back. This is when she finds the Wish Crew again. Through them, she learns to view the world from a different perspective.
This book was amazing. I could really connect with Macy. Also, I felt like I was there when events were happening; I could picture everything described perfectly in my mind. Sarah doesn't let down in this novel, it's amazing. [:
